I’ve prepared this short guide to walk you through how to book a tattoo session with me, including some frequently asked questions I’ve received over the years. I hope it’s helpful and that we can work together soon :)
1. Contact Me
How? Via WhatsApp.
At the end of this message you’ll find direct links to book either in Mexico or Europe.
I personally respond to all inquiries, which is why, for now, I use just one contact channel: WhatsApp.
Sometimes, due to workload or personal projects, I might take a bit to reply — but I’ll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
My goal is to reply with as much clarity as I can. We’ll have more time to talk and get to know each other better on the day of our session
- 🇪🇺 EUROPE DISCLAIMER: If you sent me a message inquiring about Europe and haven't got answer yet, I will answer you once i confirm the dates for my next visit, if you sent me a message already you're on my list :) -
2. What to Include in Your Message
Please share the following details when reaching out:
• General idea of your tattoo
• Where on your body do you want it? If it spans multiple areas (e.g. arm, shoulder, neck), describe that clearly
• Approximate size in centimeters (this helps a lot)
• Photos of the area you want tattooed ideally a clear photo of your body part, or you can mark the area using an internet template (I share with you a link with TEMPLATES you can screenshot and mark it easily: r: www.rodmaz.art/references)
IMPORTANT: If you want to cover, go over, work around, or intervene on an existing tattoo, you MUST send me a photo of the tattoo(s) you already have
• Do you want to include a word or prefer to give me full freedom to ornament your body with something unique? Let me know
• Reference images these can be screenshots of my work or tattoos you’ve seen that flow in a way you like
3. What to Expect
If I need a bit more info to better understand your vision, I’ll follow up with a few questions this will help define how we approach the piece, like how many sessions might be needed.
If your idea is clear and detailed:
I’ll get back to you with a proposal on how we can approach your tattoo, the total price, the deposit amount to confirm your appointment, and the dates available at that time (note: availability may change if you take too long to send the deposit)
I’ll get back to you with a proposal on how we can approach your tattoo, the total price, the deposit amount to confirm your appointment, and the dates available at that time (note: availability may change if you take too long to send the deposit)
4. Everything Looks Good? Let’s Go!
I offer a 24-hour pre-reservation period from the moment I send you the deposit details. The appointment is confirmed only once the deposit is made.
I’ll send you the payment info to secure your date officially.
You can always ask anything you need during our conversation.
5. I Sent the Deposit, Now What?
Once you confirm your deposit by sending me the receipt, I’ll send you a document with the studio address, guidelines, recommendations for before and during your tattoo session. It’s important to read these they’ll help you feel more prepared and know what to expect on the big day 🙌
With that, we’re all set! Tattoo day is around the corner 🤩
6. A Few Final Notes
• Sessions usually last 4–5 hours, including the freehand process. Of course, we can take breaks to stretch and eat something 🍟
• Can you reschedule your appointment? Yes as long as it’s done at least a week in advance
• Can you change your idea before your appointment? Totally! Just note that if it’s a big change or requires more time than originally planned, we’ll need to adjust accordingly telling me ahead of time helps us plan it properly
• Can you use numbing cream? You can but it’s at your own discretion. I won’t be able to provide or recommend any specific products. Keep in mind that topical anesthetics may affect how your skin heals and how the tattoo turns out, as they can alter your skin’s texture and healing process
If you’re ready to book your session, I’ll be waiting for you on WhatsApp with all the info.
Thank you so much!
RodMaz.
